Reliability Evaluation of Isolated Buck-Boost DC-DC Series Resonant Converter

This paper investigates the reliability of an isolated buck-boost DC-DC converter (IBBC) based on configuration a series resonant (SRC). Two approaches are employed to predict IBBC reliability, which MIL-HDBK-217F handbook and FIDES guide. The latter approach can take into account how failure rate components physics is influenced by varying yearly mission profile. To do this, thermal loading each component obtained, taking photovoltaic (PV) profile solar irradiance ambient temperature. In such case, PV module operating at maximum power point (MPP) transfers this DC microgrid (MG). Second, component-level calculated with both assessment approaches, evaluate converter-level rate.
